It's hard to believe that Reese Witherspoon already has such big kids, but those who start early can shine early with their offspring. And she did that this week in full swing. First, we saw her enjoying a glass of champagne with Ava at a typical little terrace in Paris. Well, not a typical little terrace, but a typical Parisian terrace, but I had to grab the alliteration, you know? Ava Phillips is really two peas in a pod with her mother and that is an intense compliment. On Ava's Instagram, it can be seen that the ladies also caught the Fendi show. When in Paris... At the Golden Globes, Reese chose her son Deacon as arm candy, and rightly so. It was his first awards show and he dutifully followed his mother's instructions. “There are two important things,” Reese had told him beforehand. “Gum, hand sanitizer and be nice to everyone.” On the red carpet, he brushed a strand of hair from her face and she instructed him on how to make all the photographers happy one by one by looking uniquely into the lens for each of them. Deacon didn't have to be home on time. “Mom is the party animal and I’m just trying to keep up.”
I think it all went well.
