You must catch this travel trend of 2024 this year too

Recently, I wrote about the travel trends of 2024. They appeared in a study conducted by Booking.com that the travel trends described that, according to respondents, will become the most popular in 2024.
Those predictions seem to be correct, as the first trip is booked; so apparently, I am fully participating in the trends. Normally, I only look at warm countries; if there is no sun, I don't want to go, and I mainly want to relax. However, I just returned from Norwegian Lapland, and with that, I checked off quite a few travel trends... Actually, I don't want anything else now.
In any case, I was already unconsciously participating in one of the seven trends, as not going to hot places is so 2024. There is one trend that stands out for me, and I seriously think I will use that as a starting point in the coming years.
‘Going where no one knows you’ has really appealed to me. I had a bit of a taste of that during my vacation in Oman: beautiful nature, no people in sight for miles, just you and nature, taking everything in calmly. That gave me a sense of peace and appreciation that I haven't felt in a long time.
And that is exactly the feeling I had when I walked over the mountains in Norwegian Lapland. It was very clear that day, so you could see for miles over the other mountains. With meters of snow, which from such a distance looks like a soft blanket, but you also find complete silence — apart from another hiker you occasionally meet.
That is a vacation where you ultimately, for me at least, really find peace. Clearing your head (walking empty), no podcast on, no music, but just taking in the nature around you. What a beautiful world it is, I have rediscovered that.
Therefore, my biggest tip for 2024: go to that destination that is not so obvious. To somewhere like Norwegian Lapland, for example, to see the beautiful nature. By the way, you can also do quite a lot there; I booked all sorts of activities for this trip via Booking like boat trips through fjords, but if you prefer mapping out your own hiking routes, delve into a trip to the Azores. And if you haven't been there yet: Oman is indescribably beautiful.
The road less traveled seems to me a very beautiful trend for this year.
