Science says: This song helps you relax

I can sometimes walk into a store and immediately make a strong pivot-turn, jazz ballet remember, because I get restless from the music. The reverse works too. Music can almost instantly lull you to sleep. There are even therapies that use music. Not everyone relaxes to the same music. I love classical music, but I can sometimes also get very restless from a certain passage of Einaudi; then it has to go off.

Music is personal, but there is one song that works relaxing for a very large group.

Scientists studied songs that aim to calm, and the song Weightless by Marconi Union won. It reduces stress, and listeners experienced a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, and a lower cortisol level (the stress hormone).

This is how it works It's not just a coincidence, there was also a real effort to make this song produce these effects. It is a collaboration of sound therapists who create a harmonious mix from the rhythms, harmonies, and bass lines that all have just one goal: to calm you down. Furthermore, Weightless lasts 8 minutes, so you have the time to fully immerse yourself in the song. Another advantage is that it has no recurring melodies; it is really a large sound wave. This way, your mind really turns off for a moment and your brain is not unconsciously engaged in recognizing melody lines.
