The travel tip that will change your life forever

And maybe even cheaper

Since the misery that is baggage handling at Schiphol, it seems everyone only wants to fly with hand luggage. Checking in your suitcase means you can stick a few hours to your travel time anyway. At the destination, it will probably be fine, but back at Schiphol, tired and crumpled from your journey, wandering around the baggage carousel is really the last thing you want.
To avoid that, everyone is now cramming as much as possible into their hand luggage (by the way, these are the coolest hand luggage suitcases) which causes all the overhead compartments to overflow and there is regularly arguing about who has the right to which compartment. To solve this, and to earn a few extra euros, many airlines are now also charging for hand luggage.
A hassle, in short.
Moreover, very few of us manage to go on a two-week holiday (these are according to experts the most popular destinations of 2024) with only hand luggage.

I have the tip for you people: couriers who handle it.
It's just a tiny bit more expensive than checking in your luggage on your flight, it saves you time and you don't have to lug your stuff around. I booked with Speedlink in Hoofddorp, who come to pick up your things at home and bring them to your hotel. Afterwards, they pick everything up again, door to door. Okay, one of my bags was delivered in Lech, but they solved that very quickly and with many apologies. It can happen.
I threw an AirTag in my suitcase so I can see exactly where my suitcase is. And oh, what a nice sight it was when I saw our luggage already on the map in our favorite hotel opposite the après-ski. The anticipation starts so much earlier.
