Where is no one really going? We know Ibiza. Malta, Cyprus, Mallorca… Yeah, nice islands, but which island is undiscovered? A sneaky pearl in Europe?

There are many lesser-known islands in Europe that are generally less touristy and therefore worth your while to move to. There is a chance that no one will understand where you are hanging out when you say this.

Sark (Channel Islands, United Kingdom): Sark is known for its tranquil atmosphere, secluded beaches, and car-free environment. The island is only accessible by boat and has limited accommodations, making it less visited by tourists. Okay, maybe not always sunny, but a nice place to relax.

Åland Islands (Finland): The Åland Islands are located between Finland and Sweden and are known for their beautiful nature, historical landmarks, and peaceful lifestyle. Although they are popular with Scandinavian tourists, they are less known to international visitors.

Lofoten (Norway): The Lofoten is an archipelago in northern Norway, known for its dramatic landscapes, colorful fishing villages, and unique culture. Although they are becoming increasingly popular, they are still less visited than other tourist destinations in Europe.

Farne Islands (United Kingdom): The Farne Islands, located off the coast of Northumberland in England, are known for their abundance of seabirds, secluded beaches, and rich maritime history. They are less known to international tourists but popular with nature lovers and birdwatchers.

Looking for more sun and beach? Think of Lampedusa in Italy, La Gomera in the Canary Islands, and Samothraki in Greece. All unknown and delightful places to visit. Especially Lampedusa: in the Mediterranean Sea and the largest island of the Pelagie Islands. Despite its notoriety for some sad reasons such as the arrival of migrants, Lampedusa also offers beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Don't forget: this is your chance. What is considered less touristy today may attract more attention from travelers in the future. And then you might just find yourself crowded on Sark.
