The question we all have after watching Saltburn

By

There is a very good chance that you have already seen the movie Saltburn, because almost the entire internet is currently talking about it. And if you haven't seen it yet: what are you waiting for? I honestly thought it was a good movie, exciting enough to keep your attention, the acting was good and even though you can see the ending coming from miles away, it didn't bother me that much.

By the way, that's not entirely true. I saw the ending of the storyline coming from miles away, but the actual ending… Meine. Gute. I think NO ONE (literally no one) saw this coming and I also think that all viewers who are visually oriented now listen very differently to Murder on the Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis Bextor, a song that actually dates back to 2001.

That final scene was quite something for me. We need to talk about it, because I think we all have the same question after watching this. Here it comes again.

Dance like nobody’s watching now has a whole different meaning: from now on I see actor Barry Keoghan in my mind with this quote. How he is completely going wild there naked: delightful. There's a good chance your eyes are still drawn to one body part… Right, to his genitals.

It doesn't happen often in movies or series that we get to see them so prominently, and when it does, we always ask the same question: is this real? Just like in the second season of Sex/Life, where we saw that Adam Demos is blessed with quite a size. But was that really the case? Whether he was wearing a prosthetic or not is still not entirely clear, because the cast itself is also very mysterious about it.

Fortunately, Barry Keoghan does not do that and openly stated that that scene is 100 percent real. Yep, what you see swinging back and forth there is the real deal from Keoghan. Quite tough and scary, right, to literally expose yourself, and that for a very long scene (which probably had to be done a thousand times, because it was shot in one take). Well, Barry didn't mind that.

He had no problem with the nudity, it was actually the dancing that made him step out of his comfort zone: ‘Without sounding cocky, it wasn’t the nudity. That was fine for me. It was the dancing,’ he said. I guess he gained a lot of fans after Saltburn. All because of his brilliant acting, of course. We're not that superficial, right?
