4x Why the sex scenes in Máxima are amazing

Everyone is talking about it. About Máxima the series and, zooming in a bit more, about the sex scenes. It would be somewhat uncomfortable and perhaps a bit too specific. Knowing that it happens and suggesting it would have been sufficient for many. I do not belong to that group. I find the intimate scenes wonderful and important and here’s why.

1. They are layered
Dutch films are often known for the hard-hitting honkiebonk sex where even a monk understands that there will be no female orgasm. Here we see two people making love. People who love each other, making a joke in between. Not those scenes where the two main characters suddenly seem to lose their true selves and go completely into the hatseklats mode.

2. They are female-friendly
Some find it uncomfortable to see Willem-Alexander descend to Máxima's V-zone (I am trying very hard to avoid the word ‘beffen’ here), but how wonderful is it that the creators of this series show a scene where the man loves the woman instead of climbing her?

3. It is subtle
Yes, we see them naked and lying in bed, but I don't find it uncomfortable at all. The final shot of the, in my opinion only, sex scene is again a camera movement to Máxima's head who looks more loving and enjoying than screaming g**l.

4. It is realistic
In everything, there is an attempt to portray as truthful a picture as possible of the spring of their love. We see them smoking, eating, and dancing. Then this scene is completely part of it, right?

In short, I do not understand what everyone is upset about. The king and queen have indicated that they have not watched the series. I wholeheartedly recommend it to them; it seems wonderful to me if such a beautiful series were made about my love beginning. I am already looking forward to Saturday when a fresh Videoland episode awaits me.
