At this age, women most often want a divorce

It is no longer there. And it has been nice, like this. Enough people are getting divorced: just look at the group of friends around you. Of all those nice couples, 1 in 3 still breaks up. But yes. When does that usually happen?
Well, there is a specific age at which most women want to divorce.
Various studies show that women around the age of 45 often decide to end their marriage. Why is that? Around the age of 45, many people go through a period of self-reflection and reevaluation of their lives, you know, that midlife crisis. Women evaluate their personal and professional goals, and this can lead to the conclusion that their marriage no longer meets their needs and expectations. They are different, they want different things in life, they no longer fit together.
Women at 45 often have children who are becoming adults and leaving home. This so-called “empty nest syndrome” can cause feelings of emptiness and loss, leading to a reassessment of the relationship with their spouse. And suddenly you find yourself sitting together on the couch, every day. Boring. You want more. And so you leave.
It is also an age when the break-up can be easier. By the time they are 45, many women have built their careers and become financially independent. This independence gives them the courage and means to leave an unhappy marriage and start a new phase in their lives. And indeed: Awareness of health and well-being increases with age. Women realize that they do not want to spend their remaining years in a stressful or dull relationship, which motivates them. Time for a change. Although a divorce is challenging at any age, it also offers the opportunity for a fresh start and the chance for a happier life.
Good for them, for all these women, who know it so well. Because everyone deserves her best life. Go live it.
