Coffee is therefore very healthy
So you have to drink at least that many cups

“No, thank you, I've already had some,” our Italian friends say as a standard when I ask them if they want a coffee. They have already had one, so they don't need any more. This could of course mean that Italians don't appreciate my Nespresso cups that much or that they indeed don't drink as much coffee as we think. Because drinking coffee does carry a bit of a negative connotation. It wouldn't be good for you. At least, if you were to drink more than three cups. You would get nervous and could have heart palpitations. But hooray and hooray, research.
into coffee shows that a number of cups of coffee per day is linked to a lower chance of heart and vascular diseases, diabetes, fewer strokes, and various other chronic diseases. Most studies clearly show that this lower chance of these diseases comes into play at about four to five cups per day. Four to five cups, guys, I might manage that in two days. Hang out the flag and pour champagne. Oh no, that would be very bad again.
If my Italian friends still make a waving gesture after this speech, I will have to face the truth that my coffee does not meet their standards. But I can live with that. And happily ever after too, if I may believe this research.
