I need to write to you for a moment because things are getting a bit out of hand. And I'm not talking about your caring nature and interference. Just like almost every mother, you want just one thing: the best for your child. That you might go a bit overboard and miss your goal is clear to all of us—and probably to you as well.

That here and there a critical note is sounded and columns are written about you—like for example here—someone with your no-nonsense mentality can probably handle. We even have a Free Mike petition created, which we hope you can see the humor in.

But now that there are death threats directed at you, your limit has been reached. And I understand that. Hey, you're not bothering anyone, right? It's your life, and it's also true that Mike is probably having a great time with you. Okay, it might scare a daughter-in-law a bit to crawl up the mountain in Seefeld with four of you, and loosening the reins a bit would certainly not be a bad idea. But let's please stick to the ‘live and let live‘ rule.

It's not like you're abusing your son, and in the end, you mean well.
