It's 34 degrees, what on earth are you wearing to the office?

Last week I still referred to summer as the autumn formally known as summer (and I went completely wild on that rain and wind). But suddenly it’s here, you know. And how. We’re not quite complaining yet, but man, it’s hot. On your day off, you throw on a kaftan, put on two flip-flops, and you’re ready, but on an office day? What do you do then? Well, I have the solution. Multiple.

1. The official job

Are you a lawyer, do you work at a bank, or do something else Office-like, then you have it the hardest of everyone. Because aloha shirts and off-shoulder dresses you have to save for the weekend. My solution: a straight down falling dress that falls well above the thigh. Because it’s straight, it’s nice and cool and you have as little chance of sweat spots as possible. And you don’t drive the men completely crazy because it doesn’t accentuate your body. With these four clothing items, you won’t either, by the way.

Also nice

A bermuda, but a long one that falls almost to the knee and fits quite snugly around your leg. A blazer over it and you look so crispy. Choose a sleeveless blouse under your blazer, that saves on warmth. And really, a shoe that is open at the front and back will make you so happy. Let that thing breathe.

2. The creative job

Here they are used to a bit more, so you can show a bit more skin. Perfect item that is so oh la la on trend this season. Cute espadrilles underneath or a nice sandal and you’re done. I would avoid flip-flops and work. They are really too casual. Unless they are from Chanel and with incredibly pedicured nails and feet.

3. Representative light

You don’t work at an advertising agency but also not at a law firm? Then this could be your outfit. Buy a loose short that falls like a skirt. This way you can go a bit shorter without it becoming vulgar. A top on and possibly a short cowboy boot underneath. That will be warmer than a sandal but hey, fashion before comfort and besides, it will get cold again, bet?
