Kim Kardashian: “I thought I was going to die”

By

The keyword “Kim Kardashian” is trending again this week. And not because of a new SKIMS drop, or a mysterious date with Tom Brady. No, Kim had a week straight out of a nightmare. From a bizarre lawsuit with Kanye over daughter North to a nerve-wracking testimony in Paris—things were not going her way. But Kim wouldn't be Kim if she didn't manage to endure it all with style, strength, and a hairspray-holding face. Time for a little reconstruction of the week in which even Kris Jenner she let her lip liner be what it was to support her daughter.

Kanye is taking Kim to court (yes, you read that right)

That the Kardashian family regularly pops up in legal documents is no longer surprising. But this? This came unexpectedly. Kanye wants to limit Kim's custody over daughter North. Why? Because he claims she would use North “irresponsibly” on social media and in advertisements.

Meanwhile—and here comes the irony—he himself uses North for big campaigns, clips, and branding moments. North on TikTok? Apparently that's a no-go. But North on a world tour stage or in dad Ye's music video, that's of course no problem. Totally fine. Kanye was also back to his old self this week as he casually walked out of an interview with Piers Morgan because Piers miscounted Kanye's followers. Piers thought 33 million, but there were 34, ouch. “Come back when you can count,” Kanye said as he walked off the screen. Okeeee.

And as if that wasn't enough: Paris and the trauma that never fades

Besides the custody soap, there was something else heavy on the agenda: Kim had to return this week to Paris testify in the case against her robbers. The brutal robbery in 2016, during which she was tied up in her hotel room, threatened with firearms, and lost millions in jewelry, left deep scars. We know the images by now: a hysterical Kris on the phone, Kim in shock, the world momentarily standing still. It's been nine years already, but I'm sure her testimony today felt almost like yesterday.

And now, years later, she was there again. In that city, with the memory. She recounted how she thought she would die, how she kept quiet to survive, how the voices sounded in French while she lay bound with duct tape on the bed. No theatrical speech, but calm, composed, and powerful. That's how Kim does it.

But what was she wearing?

That's something we always wonder. Because Kim can even turn a courtroom into a runway. She appeared in a black, flowing Balenciaga dress that combined drama and elegance with a touch of midnight. High gloves, a tailored cut, and her hair in that iconic wet look: sleek, chic, feminine with a hint of femme fatale.

She walked up the steps of the courthouse as if she were on her way to a fashion gala at the Louvre. The press screamed, the cameras flashed, and Kim held her head high. Literally and figuratively.

Kris Jenner: mother, manager, mental support

You knew she would be there. Kris Jenner didn't leave her daughter alone for a second. In a checked blazer, oversized sunglasses, a groomed hairstyle, and her iconic “no messing with my family” look, she walked alongside Kim like a bodyguard meets best friend. Because whether it's about contracts, courtrooms, or cameras: Kris is there.

Afterwards, she called Kim “the bravest woman I know.” We believe her immediately.

The moral of the story

Kim Kardashian is not just a fashion icon, reality queen, or entrepreneur. She is also a woman with a backbone of steel. She fights for her child, dares to face trauma, and does it all while looking like she was just cast by Anna Wintour for a new fashion campaign. That's called: strength with style.
