Remarkable: only 6 percent of women orgasm during sex

That the orgasm gap is significant we knew, but new research by sex expert Dr. Laurie Mintz shows once again how large it is.

According to Mintz's most recent research for pleasure provider LELO (the designer brand among sex toys) among 800 highly educated women, only 6 percent actually reach orgasm through sex and 39 percent through masturbation. About 60 percent of the surveyed women also indicate that they sometimes fake it.

Something to bring about change, believes LELO, with the sex toy as a means, because 90 percent of respondents indicate that they prefer to pleasure themselves with a sex toy rather than with fingers. Many women also prefer to masturbate because they reach climax faster that way. Here's to more orgasms! If not through sex, then through whatever form of pleasure you as a woman find enjoyable.
