Do you remember that I wrote a while ago about my drink du moment, the St-Germain Spritz? A splash of St-Germain, which is a French liqueur made from elderflowers that are hand-picked every spring, some sparkling water and prosecco, a mint leaf, and lots of ice. Really, drink it, close your eyes, and you're in Paris. Anyway, that liqueur has something new that you will crave so much that it will pull you to Kerkstraat 163 (that's where they are sold). And that is the limited edition St-Germain Cruffin & Croissant. Both the cruffin and the croissant are filled with a cream of yuzu, lemon, dill, and vanilla, and in that cream, the notes of St-Germain come together perfectly.

Because that's the only question that still occupies your mind: where should I go? Well, at Atelier Gallery for Pastry Pantopia in Kerkstraat in Amsterdam. Pantopia is famous for their creative and experimental take on patisserie, and especially for St-Germain, pastry chef Youssef looked at how to translate those floral and citrus notes of St-Germain into a pastry.
That this was successful became clear on that beautiful evening in September when DJ Ruben Michael created the perfect aperitif moment by playing for people who were privileged to taste the Cruffins and Croissants while enjoying the perfect St-Germain Spritz. The mix of the croissants and French elegance made it feel as if you were not in Amsterdam, but in a secret bar in Paris. This limited edition combines the fresh citrus and floral notes of St-Germain with classic French pastry art.
