The sad story of Jessie and D'Lila, the twins of P. Diddy

By

The trial against P. Diddy is nearing its end and has reached an emotional climax for all involved. This week, P. Diddy's twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie, left the courtroom in tears, where their father is on trial for sexual abuse, violence, and rape – charges that also involve underage victims at the time of the alleged incidents.

Support for P. Diddy

Despite the front pages of newspapers and websites being filled with the terrible things their father allegedly did, their love for him remains unwavering. On June 16, they posted on their shared Instagram account – the Combs Twins have 783 thousand followers – in which they wrote a message of affection for their father:

Happy Father’s Day to the best dad in the entire world. We love you so much, words can’t even explain. You’ve always been there for us whenever we needed you no matter what. Through thick and thin. We appreciate everything you’ve done for us and we couldn’t ask for a better dad. The bond we have is inseparable and unplacable. We are so blessed to be given a dad as great as you are. We love and miss you so so much.

Note: “unplacable” seems to be a mistake in their post, likely intended as “irreplaceable”.

Cocaine on the girls' clothes

For Diddy, this support must have been a comfort amidst all the accusations, but it remains surprising. The girls“ former nanny, Dawn Drago, had claimed in 2013 that the twins were not being adequately cared for. Their mother, Kim Porter, regularly smoked marijuana in their presence, and drug use at home was common. The girls once found a bag of cocaine on the back seat of the car – which their mother Kim dismissed by saying it was ”medicine” – and there was even cocaine on their clothes while they were at preschool.

Dad in prison, mom in heaven

The twins' lives have never been easy. Five months before their birth, their father, P. Diddy, had a daughter, Chance, with entrepreneur Sarah Chapman. When the twins were twelve years old, their mother passed away, a pain they say they still struggle with every day.

Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world and nothing has been the same since she passed,

the girls wrote on Instagram on September 25, in a plea not to tarnish their mother's name with suffering and, according to them, falsehoods.

Graduates without their parents

And then came the day when you normally toss your graduation cap in the air to celebrate the diploma. And there were Jessie and D’Lila. Without a mother, without a father. One deceased, the other in custody. The sentencing is expected in October of this year. For now, the girls remain alone.

What is P. Diddy's current situation?

To clarify, here is a summary of the current situation:

  • Conviction: Found guilty on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution, with a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
  • Acquittal: Found not guilty on charges of human trafficking and conspiracy.
  • Other charges: In addition to the criminal trial, there are over 120 civil lawsuits pending against Combs, in which he is accused of sexual abuse, violence, and rape – with some victims being minors at the time of the alleged incidents.
  • Detention: Combs remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting sentencing scheduled for October 2025.
