Why the new Victoria Beckham foundation is everything your skin needs

When Victoria Beckham comes out with a new beauty product, the bar is set high immediately. And rightly so. Her brand Victoria Beckham Beauty has existed since 2019 and stands for luxury, good ingredients, no frills, no hysterical packaging, but products that you want to use every day AND that do what they promise. I always find it a plus when a well-known person launches a brand AND uses it themselves. Then you know it’s right. And now there is for the first time: a foundation.

The foundation everyone is talking about

Today, Victoria launches her first foundation: the Victoria Beckham Foundation Drops. And this is immediately declared a must-have for the autumn. The bottle is minimalistically chic, as you would expect from her, and the content feels like a serum with a tint. Not heavy, not sticky, but airy and hydrating, and your skin looks like it has received a soft focus filter.

Victoria’s personal mission

You would almost not expect it from someone with such beautiful skin all the time, but when Victoria was younger, she struggled a lot with acne and her skin was really very sensitive. So she has always been very careful with skincare and especially with the use of a foundation. So launching her own version has always been high on her wish list. One that doesn’t feel heavy or sits too much on her skin. According to her, a foundation should be airy, breathable, have a light glow, and no mask effect that settles in your fine lines. And now it’s finally here, after all those years of samples. Her own foundation, a combination of her personal story, skin-friendly ingredients, and one that works.

Collaboration with skincare guru Augustinus Bader

To create her Foundation Drops, she collaborated again with Professor Augustinus Bader, if you’ve been following her for a while, you know she is a big fan of the brand. It is known for its high-end skincare with a special TFC8 technology, which is now also in her Foundation Drops. This TFC8 helps the skin to repair, calm, and strengthens the skin barrier. Additionally, the Foundation Drops contain ingredients like echinacea (for firmer skin), spilanthes flower (for a more even skin), and olive leaf extract (which protects the skin). So you could almost use this foundation in your skincare routine.

Adapts to your skin

There are 19 shades that adapt to different skin tones and undertones. Whether you are warm, cool, or neutral: it blends in. Your skin remains visible, but it makes it just a bit more even and you get that healthy glow. It’s actually a kind of thin filter that you lay over your skin, so if you are really looking for a covering foundation, you should really look elsewhere, like Charlotte Tilbury's or this one from TirTir. How do you apply it? Well, even easier: just shake it so all the ingredients are well mixed, a few drops on your fingers or a brush, and you’re done. And yes, there is a price tag. But you can almost skip a step in your skincare and you know you have quality, there’s no doubt about that.
