This wax perfume makes it rain compliments

I have been experiencing this so often lately: I smell someone particularly delicious and the answer is always: “That’s my laundry perfume!”
In the meantime, I have also become a big consumer of laundry perfume and I have half the collection in the cupboard above the washing machine. Depending on the season, my mood, and the ‘nature of the laundry’, I choose the perfect laundry perfume. I give sheets a different scent, something more relaxing, than the hockey clothes, which I want to smell especially fresh. This way, each load has its own scent. A generous splash of laundry perfume (which isn’t actually necessary, because it is super concentrated, but I like to be generous in life) with your laundry detergent is enough. For the extra touch, I also put a special dryer ball in the dryer on which I sprinkle a few drops of laundry perfume. This ball makes the laundry dry faster and the scent is anchored even more strongly in the laundry.

This laundry perfume smells like a niche fragrance
You probably know Skins, that beautiful perfumery. Well, one of their best-selling fragrances is Bois Imperial; a scent so layered that the description reads like a novel. But believe me, it’s the kind of scent that everyone you meet asks for the name of your perfume. And now here’s the thing: the new laundry perfume from my friends at wasparfum.nl is called Diana and is said by many to be compared to Bois Imperial, but better. Why? Because it’s cheaper and you can use it everywhere. Your duvet, your towels, your curtains, your dog’s pillow – everything is surrounded by this beautiful perfume.
Luxury and love in a bottle
When you ask Diana, the founder of wasparfum.nl, how to best describe this scent, her answer is: luxury and love in a bottle. To find the scent, Diana roamed all over Paris – which is no punishment, of course. She wanted a laundry perfume inspired by a niche perfume that would make washing a celebration. And although that may already be the case, I would like to add that washing is pure therapy for me, but that’s beside the point.
“The first time I smelled it, I thought: this is it. It’s fresh, it’s powerful, and it gives a feeling of connection. I wanted my laundry to smell exactly like this.”
Translating a perfume into a laundry perfume turned out to be no easy task.
“I am very demanding. It took some time to find the right balance. But the moment I tried the final version, I knew we had succeeded. Grapefruit and spicy basil at the top, with an addictive woody depth. A scent that works all year round for everyone.”
Laundry perfume tips from Diana
I am always looking for more tips, especially from the experts, so I asked Diana what she prefers to use her namesake, the laundry perfume, for. “On my towels and simply on all my clothes. The compliments I receive make it worth it every time. Someone even asked if I had sprayed a luxury perfume. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and that it gives your laundry that unforgettable scent.”
After our conversation, I immediately stocked up. I bought some fresh dryer balls and the all-purpose cleaner Oslo. Because if you have that at home, cleaning becomes your new hobby besides washing.
