Is this the most beautiful ski hotel in Europe?
I believe so
I love skiing. Being outdoors, the silence, the snow that seems to soften the harshness of the world a bit, the moments with your loved one in the lift, and especially that delightful sleep. Are there any downsides? Really. I have puffed sometimes: “And to think that we are paying money for this” while we waddled to our hotel with our skis in hand during a snowstorm. And from an aesthetic point of view, I sometimes find it quite difficult to find a cool and handsome hotel. The threshold is high, I must say.
Until last year when we skied past Panorama Hotel Hubertus an architectural masterpiece with a spa that is built upside down as if it were a reflection in a lake. It has beautiful rooms (okay, a bit of wood here too, but no carved hearts in pine cupboard doors), a gym that makes my personal trainer foam at the mouth, a sauna, six heated pools inside and outside, nine saunas (with spectacular views of the Dolomites), professional masseurs and an ice room and a relaxation room with floor-to-ceiling windows. There is also a restaurant, so if you don't feel like lugging your skis one day... No rooster crows, no man overboard.
