These are the editorial team's favorite sun products

The sun is the number one wrinkle-causer, we all know that. But staying inside with the curtains closed when you could be sitting on a terrace is a bit too much for us. So what do we do: we slather ourselves in. 365 days a year and if possible, a few times a day. These are the favorites of our editorial team.

I really like to use SuperGoop because it has a nice shine and a beautiful tint. I find it pleasant to use and it serves as a good primer right away. I often combine the SuperGoop with the SPF Drops from Prescription because they don't leave a white cast. For my body, I am really a fan of the sun protection from Shiseido (smells so good) and I buy a huge bottle of Uncover from Jetske Ultee. That's really a bulk package that everyone can use as often as they want.

I am one of the biggest advocates of sun protection. I really try to apply SPF 365 days a year. My absolute favorite is Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ PA++++. A lovely, light cream that spreads easily and offers very high UVA and UVB protection.

I generally love airy textures. That's why I also like to use the SPF Drops from Prescription. On really hot days, for example during vacations, I choose P20. Far from the easiest to apply, it's thick, white, and sticky, but the protection is fantastic. It remains effective for hours, is water-resistant, and suitable for sensitive skin.

For my body, I use La Roche-Posay 50+ UV Sport: a nice spray that absorbs quickly and doesn't feel sticky.

Throughout the day, I reapply my SPF. My favorite is the Supergoop! (Re)setting 100% Mineral Powder SPF35. Super handy: you can apply it over your makeup without a mirror. Also ideal for your scalp if your parting is at risk of burning. Another one I like is the Garnier Ambre Solaire Over Makeup Super UV SPF50+ Mist.

They sometimes call me the SPF police because I'm always the one asking on a terrace or at the beach: “Has everyone applied sunscreen yet?” If anyone is enthusiastic about applying and avoiding the bright sun, it's me. (Okay, I admit, I just can't handle the heat that well.) My daytime SPF has to be super thin because that sticky feeling doesn't make me happy.

The Glowy Screen SPF50+ from the Italian brand Darling is my current favorite because it also works perfectly as a primer. And it smells so good that you almost forget you're applying sunscreen, while I usually don't like perfumed skincare at all. The Protect-Me SPF50 and the aftersun from Darling are also so nice. The La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Air SPF50+ with a subtle tint is a firm favorite. You need just a little less foundation with it.

The Bondi Sands Face SPF50+ is the budget hero in my opinion – and now also 1+1 at Etos. And the SkinCeuticals Ultra Facial UV Defense SPF50 is also high on my must-have list.

Since last year, I have become a mega fan of Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. I have super sensitive skin that usually reacted poorly to sunscreen on my face before using this cream. And now it finally works well!

Moreover, it gives no sticky feeling or white cast from sunscreen, but really feels like a luxurious, hydrating day cream.

The cream also contains rice extract and fermented grain probiotics. Rice water has been used in Korean tradition for centuries to brighten and nourish the skin. Additionally, it contains Niacinamide (vitamin B3), which helps calm redness, refine pore structures, and fade pigmentation spots. This is the big winner for me!

Laudonne

For me, sun protection is something that really needs to be undetectable. Ideally, I want it to not be sticky and not visible, because such a white face? Ugh, I've seen enough of that during my family vacations to Turkey... That's why I'm completely sold on this. It gives me exactly the glowy skin I want, without that annoying white cast. And another plus: it's so hydrating that this is the only sunscreen I don't forget to apply. For my body, I honestly use (don't crucify me) whatever I can get my hands on. As long as it's factor 50!

I am a fan of the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Face Mist with SPF 50. The nice thing about this sunscreen is that you can spray it over your makeup and it doesn't look too greasy afterwards. I have sensitive skin, but since this is oil and fragrance-free, I have no issues at all. It is super light and fits easily into even my smaller bags.
