8 items die om de winter vragen
Have you caught yourself making a little jump for joy as the weather app predicts 8 degrees for the weekend? Is the day the time changes to winter time (25 October that is) circled on your calendar with a heart and exclamation mark? No? Not? No desire for winter? Wait until these items are dangled in front of your nose. You’ll be saying something completely different.
- The padded boots from Isabel Marant. I saw them at her store on the Rue de Seine (Isabel has a corner with her love Jerome Dreyfuss, and it was just as well that it was closed because my bank account would not have survived). Order them online, netaporter.com does not have them but mytheresa.com does. Expensive, very expensive. But they make me very greedy.
- The perfect size scarf from Acne. Two metres long and 70cm wide, the perfect enormous scarf dimensions. Wine-red, taupe, grey, bottle-green all colours of the season. A little pricey for a scarf at€130,- but a. you’ll wear it everyday, b. it’ll cheer up any outfit and c. it’s cheap compared to the Isabel Marant boots.
- The Tommy jacket. While we were watching the Tommy show in New York, it was a freezing -20 degrees outside, and all we wanted to do was become good friends with Tommy in the hopes that he would donate us a complete wardrobe. Sadly we had to wait until the clothing was hanging in the stores and that time is now. Where is that cabin? Oh there it is.
- Chanel hat. You may hate the beanie but this hat is a Chanel, and you will want, must and have to have.
- Oversized pastel please. It’s sticking around and trending, and the good news is that it is coming out in more and more affordable versions. Cos, Maje, Sandro. And if you have enough money, I recommend MaxMara or Céline.
- The wrap dress from Isabel Marant. Anything Isabel Marant actually but if there was a gun to our heads and we had to choose (if I already had the boots in my cupboard), I’d go for the wrap dress.
- Blouse with bow by Saint Laurent. Forget the old aunty clad in Rodier (do you remember that brand, that brand? Oh so classy but prudish), because when Hedi makes something for Saint Laurent it is always chic with an edge. You need to work the bow but think about all those December-drinks, Christmas dinners and New Years parties that you can be rocking this look at.
- Liesbeth’s object of desire. She placed her feet in these yesterday for a while and has not shut up about these boots since then. They cost the bizarre amount of €1500 so let’s hope they are not available in her size anymore, which we can take as a sign from God.
