I am sitting. It is 17:21 and I just caught the Thalys from Paris to Amsterdam. There was a round trip on the menu for a really fun meeting at the Louis Vuitton headquarters. But because there was ‘something technical’ with the Thalys network in the Netherlands, it took me five hours instead of three. I've been up since 05:30., I haven't eaten anything yet., I am now pulling out a white baguette with butter and salted sausage and really hope that the man next to me doesn't talk to me. The week is over.

It started with a flu relay among my girls. Every night, another one reached a temperature of 39.5. In the morning, it had dropped to about 38, which made them just too sick for school or daycare but fit enough for a super cozy day at home. Every morning, I tapped another one on the shoulder with the announcement that they could stay home. It often came with a cheer gesture. ’Yay, the whole day with you!“

The flu also spread around the office. Josselin went down last weekend, Jet in the middle of the week. From their beds, the brave sick ones wrote all their posts and kept Facebook updated. Liesbeth was in London at the invitation of River Island, so I really needed them. You didn't notice anything.

Today Jet was better again and Lies was back (only Josselin still needs to regain her strength) but now I was away again. To Paris, that is. Too bad because I would have loved to introduce our new tree to them. And even more, I would have loved to dive into the Tiffany&Co carriage with them to officially open the holiday season. But they were texting me photos and videos, and I showed them my view from the balcony of the Thalys where no mouse could fit anymore and everyone seemed to be standing on my Fendi pumps. Or put their suitcase on it. But in the end, I was in Paris. In Paris. With my friends from Vuitton, that's not unpleasant either.

Fortunately, the day before I had already enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving drink at the Tiffany store and I also had a me-moment when I got a fresh gel polish from OPI applied at the Soap Treatment Store. That Twingo and I needed an hour (an hour, an HOUR) to find a parking spot I won't elaborate on further. Eventually, I parked her little rear in the most beautiful spot by the canal, right by the manicure heaven.

What else happened? Vivian Buck came by from Bloggersnetwerk and I was surprised with a very nice wrap from Knit-ted. I know, it's a tough life. But someone has to do it. Someone.
