Which bag should May?
“May, that bag really can't be used anymore.” My friend Fiona Hering could have been gay, she is so honest when it comes to fashion. “Well, it can still be used, but you've been photographed with it too often.”
I could have had a discussion about the anti-disposable society and the documentary Livia Firth made to discourage us from our excessive buying, but when it comes to a new bag, I am a helpless victim.
Really helpless apparently, because I am quite capable and willing to buy a new bag, but I just don't know which. The Boy-bag is great, but it doesn't scream my name. I find the bags from Alexander Wang too heavy. Hermès is wonderful, but has a slightly too rustic feel, is also heavy and let's be honest: in a time like this, I find it almost unethical to buy such an expensive bag.
I give you my serious options and look forward to your comments. Together we will surely figure it out.
1. Gucci Dionysus Supreme GG Embroidered Bag
Pro: It is the bag of the moment, everyone wants it, every magazine photographs it.
Con: I don't know if I will still like it in seventeen years.
2. LV Twist Denim
Pro: I love everything from Vuitton. This bag is classy and chic and also current due to the material.
Con: It is a bit small... But hey, what more do I need than a car key, my mobile, and a credit card?
3. Chanel Flap Bag in Blue
Pro: It is blue, which is something different, it's Chanel, I love the leather pattern, it's Chanel, it's Chanel.
Con: I already have quite a few Chanel bags. But that probably doesn't really count...
4. Classic Monogram Saint Laurent Chain Bag
Pro: Stunning, contemporary with a nice nod to the rich past of the house.
Con: I don't find the chain long enough...
