WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER LOOK IN YOUR LOVED ONE'S PHONE

I don't think there is a woman who hasn't at some point had the urge to suppress the desire to peek into her partner's phone. Just to “eeeeven take a look at who he's texting”. Very innocent, I don't suspect him of anything, just a quick look. Dear women of the Netherlands, that's a bad idea and you should never do it. And for the following reasons.

Nothing is as it seems

A text conversation with a lady named Anna will make you furious. WHO IS THAT? AND WHY HAVE YOU BEEN IN CONTACT WITH HER ALL DAY FOR DAYS?!?!! Later you find out that Anna is his cousin, but the damage is already done. In short, the written word is interpreted in the way you expect it to be. So “hey, how are you? Long time no see!” is basically a completely innocent message, but if you assume that the female sender is a potential threat then that message suddenly becomes very suspicious and unpleasant.

Everyone has the right to privacy

What he has in his phone is his business, not yours. How would you feel if he secretly rummaged through your phone? Just saying.

The problem lies elsewhere

The fact that you even want to look in his phone is actually the most concerning. What are you looking for? What do you think you will find? If you don't trust him one hundred percent, then that's the problem you need to find a solution for, and you won't find it in his phone.

You can't do anything with the information you find

Suppose you do find something that is unacceptable, what are you going to do about it? You can't just come up to him and say, “hey, I was cleaning out your phone and found this, so YOU are a jerk” while you are also being quite a jerk yourself. They call that illegally obtained evidence in court, and it's the same in your relationship.

Some things you shouldn't want to know

Everyone occasionally sends a slightly too flirty message to someone, that doesn't always mean anything. When you read that and panic about it, it's very unpleasant and completely unnecessary. So just close your eyes to it, it's better for everyone.
