I'M GOING DRY FOR A MONTH
Guys, I'm going dry this month. I'm going on an alcohol detox (ha, you probably thought I meant something else…). I actually never do New Year's resolutions, but after two pretty much very alcohol-infused months with way too many hangovers, I thought I’d be smart for once, because I really do notice those extra pounds that weren't there before. But not just for that reason. I was also often tired, because those wines/cocktails/bubbles were of course consumed in the later hours of the day and put two and two together and sleeping, well, that happened very little. But anyways, can you remember that May tried it last year too? Although that dry January of May turned into a.
medium dry January. And Jet also had a bit more trouble with it than expected, but guys, I'm going to make it happen. And this is how: 1. Find a buddy
Look, convincing Simone to join me was easy.
Just look here. . But the challenge is also to make sure you get your girlfriends to not open that bottle of wine every single time. Find buddies who want to join you for a sober month, then it’s less boring and difficult.. 2. Avoid bars.
Instead of all those drinking dates, meet up with your friends for coffee or a nice breakfast somewhere. In Amsterdam, there’s an abundance of nice spots for breakfast dates, so ditch that bar once and go for a cozy cup of Joe.
“Out of sight, out of mind…”.
“3. Treat yourself”
Unless you really have coffee and breakfast dates every day, you’ll save yourself some money. And with that money, you can definitely treat yourself. A luxury spa day or something, or a little shopping.
It’s sale now. , so you can even buy twice as much with the money you normally spend on drinks., 4. Find a hobby.
How many hours have you wasted on those miserable hangovers? Only rolling out of bed in the afternoon and basically being worthless for the rest of the day. You won’t have that anymore. And all those wasted hours you can now nicely put into a new hobby. Do you like photography? Maybe you can start a course? Or hit the gym, because if you’re going to be healthy now…
5. Hide the booze
Do you have any bottles of wine and bubbles left over from the holidays? Put them away. Out of sight, out of mind…
Time for healthy juices, guys, and
is where you can find them. Will you join me? this Guys, I'm going dry this month. I'm going on an alcohol detox (ha, you probably thought I meant something else…). I actually never do New Year's resolutions…
