New series on Netflix

It just keeps coming from that creative department at Netflix. They upload one hit after another on their platform. They even managed to rope in the golden boys of Hollywood for a production.

But now they come with something that you might initially think: ohhh my looord, what the hell is it. But ladies, I have already secretly seen some sneak peeks and you want to follow this. GLOW is the brand new Netflix Original baby. We are going back in time to the 80s and following a female wrestling team. I kid you not. Think Farrah Fawcett-like looks, glitter, spandex, and colorful leg warmers.

The story revolves around Ruth Wilder, played by actress Alison Brie, a struggling actress in Los Angeles who gets a call for a very unconventional audition. She ends up in the world of women's wrestling. This Netflix Original is inspired by a show from the eighties: G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling).

And also not entirely unimportant: the ladies Liz Flahive from Homeland and Carly Mensch from Orange Is The New Black developed it, so you understand: this is going to be another hit. And lots of giggles guaranteed. So watch watch watch starting June 23. I promise to come soon with the premiere of the first trailer.
