The scariest movies and series

That will make you almost believe in ghosts

Officially, it's only Halloween on Tuesday, but we're celebrating it this weekend. And I'm definitely here today, so if you don't have plans yet... If you're not into costume parties but do enjoy watching a scary movie every now and then (horror is actually good for your sex life), then I have some goodies for you in the scary AF category. Do you believe in ghosts? Warning: after watching all of this, you might never be able to sleep normally again. The Rite.

After seeing Silence of the Lambs, I find everything with Anthony Hopkins scary these days. Except for Westworld (

amazing). But if you can handle a hefty dose of demonic possession, then The Rite is what you want. Based on true events from the book The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist. The Watcher.

Part of what you see in this movie is real and based on a couple from New Jersey who dealt with an 'invisible stalker', and part is a bit exaggerated to make the story even scarier. The story in short: the couple moves into a new house where something lives that does everything to drive them out.

Paranormal Survivor.

These are real stories depicted through a kind of unscripted documentary. Think of poltergeist-like activities and haunted houses. In any case, it's one that will make you freak out at every creak in your own house.

Portal to the Unknown.

Unsolved mysteries, those really cause nightmares. From unexplained disappearances, sightings of UFOs, and like some above, demonic possession. Here too, they work with reenactments of events from victims who have experienced it and with material based on what experts know about it.

Most Haunted.

A show from our British neighbors where they travel to the world's most haunted locations, together with a team of mediums, parapsychologists, and scientists to seek evidence that paranormal activities are very real. Do you dare?
