We are so proud as mothers
I can imagine it feels like that; being a mother. Really, truly proud of your child. With clichés about peacocks and such. Our magazine (the fourth one already, time flies) is in stores this week after weeks of toiling, weighing, stressing, laughing, making decisions, checking and checking again. And now it's time for champagne. And of course, we hope that you, as a loyal friend, will celebrate with us and spontaneously sprint to AKO, Bruno or AH for the new issue. It's going to give you a nice summery vibe with this graphic coolness, believe me. You know what, just a little sneak peek then.
Behold: the favorite magazine pieces of your editors. And then May will explain to you here in detail how she felt at the birth.

“Probably because Moscow has been on the bucket list for a seriously long time, I devoured the Moscow Muses production (pages 76-95) first. Go to Russia with the best-dressed brigade of the Netherlands, dive into the deep depths of the Moscow metro and you'll take insanely cool photos, that has become clear. And, I learned something again with the Russian-for-beginners list. Does ‘Kak deal’ seriously mean ‘how are you?!”

“One favorite production from the magazine? Impossible. From front to back, from left to right: the new magazine consists only of love, pride, and fun for me. Backstage with the girlfriends in Parc Broekhuizen (from page 107), my own must-haves, street style and shopping productions, and of course the cool travel diaries. But okay, if I have to choose one: the Amayzine runway report (from page 136). Because during Fashion Week we can never be at all the shows at the same time, but thanks to the fashion explosion of this issue we have an even better front row spot than Anna Wintour.”

“I go for the story of our cover babe Vivian. Viv, whom I got to know as the house photographer on my first day at work. The girl with the envy-inducing Chanel over her shoulder. Vivian, a woman who is not only beautiful on the outside but especially on the inside. And her Cape Town story is the ultimate proof of that. Here she found her love. And I'm not even talking about her handsome lover, whom she has been head over heels in love with for a year now. The love for the city but especially the love for herself. Cape Town, where Viev Viev can be, where you want to go now with just a simple, flowy summer dress and a simple sandal. And with our magazine, that’s for sure…”
