This is what we know so far about the Gossip Girl reboot

Good morning Upper East Siders, it’s Gossip Girl here. Your one and only source to the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite. YAAA. They’re back. Or well, sort of. Almost. I can honestly say that the announcement of the Gossip Girl reboot is the best series news of the year was. Okay, the chance that the original cast returns was probably zero, but with Gossip Girl it can hardly go wrong, right?

Well, just in case you thought it could go wrong, I have a little nice news for you. A piece of news about Blair, Serena, and Nate. Those three are totally open to a comeback. YES. Chuck is still the absent one, but a divorced Blair, as a single mother? She’ll rock that for sure. Leighton Meester herself sees Blair as a successful designer who envisions a show at New York Fashion Week.

Chace Crawford a.k.a. Nate a.k.a. the hottest guy in the series sees it a bit more relaxed: “I’m [Nate] probably a dad or something.” Since Nate has gone through quite a few girls in the original series, I’m curious who has stuck around. His womanizer side was actually his only storyline in the last seasons.

Lonely Boy aka Penn Badgley is now of course busy playing the stalker in YOU, so not entirely surprising he says he’s not necessarily interested in the reboot. Since the reveal of him as Gossip Girl was the most inexplicable in the history of… Ever, actually, I don’t find that too bad.

But all in all, this is just really good news, right? A new Upper East Side gang is all fun, but those familiar faces are what we’re here for. Now just waiting until 2020. XOXO.
