Yesss, Beck is coming back in season 2 of YOU

beck you season 2

Look, that’s how you end the week with good news. While all of the Netherlands is complaining that it’s way too hot – and they’re right – there are still a few bright spots here and there. Thank goodness. Unfortunately, one bright spot is not the moment that that darned season 2 of YOU comes out. That is currently Netflix’s best-kept secret, I believe. The only thing they keep saying is ’coming soon‘. Well, I don’t know, friends, but the word ’soon‘ is being used quite loosely. Well, then bring on the good news, huh? Here it comes: Beck is also part of the party in season 2. Hopsakee. But huh? What? Is she then not dead after all? Well…

Yes, she is really very much dead. But Penn Badgley it was so nice of her to already reveal that season 2 of YOU will partly be a prequel. Good guess: in that prequel, Beck is still very much alive. We can expect that in the second episode, when we will also see more about what Joe has done to Beck. I hope it’s not in that nasty basement of his, I don’t need to see that, you know. Penn also reveals that Beck is still ‘very much alive‘ in Joe’s mind. Will we also see some hallucinations with Beck, like we did with Candace in season 1? Okay, she turned out to be alive, but we didn’t know that during those hallucinations.

A new Beck I find it quite an adjustment anyway, so I’m glad there’s at least one familiar face. And I hope she teaches him a lesson posthumously. Furthermore, Penn unfortunately doesn’t want to give any spoilers, although for some, Beck’s death is already one. The wild theory was going around that she would ultimately survive, Penn would chase her to LA, and there she would get her revenge. That would have been fun – a bit less realistic though.

I hope that next YOU news I can just give you the release date, you know. Very nice, those spoilers, teasers, and more from the second season, but admit it: we want more. Whether season 2 suddenly drops on Netflix without warning, I would be totally fine with that too, but for now, you’ll have to make do with this, sorry, folks. But that we’re getting Beck back, I still find very good news.
