Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced last night that they are stepping back from their roles as senior members of the royal family. Honestly: I was kind of waiting for this news, but all of England is in an uproar because: the queen apparently knew nothing?

I find this strange, but sources within Buckingham Palace say that Prince William, Prince Charles, and Mother the Queen had no idea about the couple's decision and that the news came into the royal living room via TV. Good God, could this be true?

A source within the English royal family says that Queen Elizabeth and all the Windsors are devastated by the news. She seems to be all understanding when it comes to Meghan, Harry, and the desire to do things differently. Something I find hard to imagine after watching The Crown, but that's beside the point.
