Dutch people have sex an average of three times a month, according to new research. For a long time, we thought that average was around twice a week, but no.

It turns out that nothing could be further from the truth: we are doing it less and less. Twice a week is not feasible, according to many. Why don't we do it more often? Young children. We scroll endlessly on social media before going to sleep. We take our phones to bed. We are tired. We are too busy or too insecure. About 60 percent of women say they have occasionally to regularly felt insecure about their own appearance. For men, that is 31 percent. And well, then the passion doesn't exactly shine through when you don't find yourself attractive in the mirror. What a shame.

Whether you go to bed more often than those around you has everything to do with your zodiac sign. Because some are certainly not lustful, while others spread their legs as soon as they see a bed.

A Taurus is more in search of love and attention than hard action between the legs. They seek intimacy, but also find that in cuddling, kissing, or just doing nice things together. Cooking together, a glass of wine, a good conversation; a Taurus really perks up from that. Sex is fine and part of it, but it certainly doesn't have to be every day. Or every week. No, sleep is also important.

Capricorn
The Capricorn thinks a lot and can't easily let go of things: that's why it often doesn't work out to relax and enjoy a sexual encounter. Only when the Capricorn feels completely at ease with someone can they let loose. That takes time and a lot of patience: but a Capricorn will never do crazy stunts between the sheets. Just a quickie now and then. But don't act weird around a Capricorn on Monday morning at eight o'clock under the desk, because they are not up for that kind of tension.

Aquarius
An Aquarius gets bored quickly in bed and naturally has a not too high libido. They seek some excitement in a partner and can intensely enjoy that: but it doesn't have to be every night again. They go for quality: better a nice climax and then live off that for a few weeks, than constantly having quickies that lead nowhere. They are practically minded and know what they want. Sex is part of it, but preferably less often and then an extensive session, than very often a little half fiddling. Kissing, a bit of handwork and foreplay? Nah, no time for that.
