Eighty when it's sweltering hot

The heatwave has officially begun so it's hot ’n steamy. And not just the weather, but we are hot ’n steamy too. Because it turns out that in warm weather you have much more desire for sex. Whut? Even in this heat? I can't quite imagine it at the moment because the heat is hardly bearable, but well... Science says so.
Or well, science... De Volkskrant says so. Nils Lambalk (hormone expert and general practitioner) and Peter Leusink (sexologist) explained that rising temperatures also mean an increase in our libido. And there is actually a very simple reason for that.
Because ultimately we are quite superficial beings, if we are to believe them. What is the reason that we are a bit more frisky in the heat? Well, because the people around us are wearing much less clothing. Short skirts, shorts, swimwear... These are all sexual stimuli and we are all continuously stimulated.
On top of that, we see those scantily dressed people a lot. Because of the warm weather, we go outside more and engage in more social activities where we see those scantily dressed people. LOGICAL. It also helps that those social summer activities often come with a drink or two. Fewer inhibitions, less clothing... More desire for sex. Simple as that.
But hey, better safe than sorry: do it safely. Because men apparently also tend to be much more fertile in the summer months. This is said to be because more serotonin is produced when the sun shines. Just so you know.
