Totally fetch: Mean Girls is coming back to the big screen

The film that became a musical is returning to the big screen as a film musical, that's pretty much the correct description. Mean Girls gave Lindsay Lohan worldwide fame, from which she still hasn't fully recovered.
The cult film made its way straight to Broadway, where Cady and Regina crossed swords on stage. But because we are due for a major revival every now and then, plans are now being made to turn the production into a film. So it will be a film meets musical. Writer Tina Fey, who appears in the film as math teacher Miss Norbury, is teaming up with Paramount Pictures and we know this can only mean one thing: gather your high school girlfriends, stock up on popcorn, and indulge in a good old-fashioned dose of teenage drama.
Did you know that the film Mean Girls is based on a study and a book? It's called Queen Bees and Wannabes, written by Rosalind Wiseman. She researched the social dynamics and behavior of girls at school. Fey says that the film will be based on the musical by the way, so we can look forward to a sort of La La Land meets Mean Girls. Will Lohan return? One thing is for sure: this news is so fetch.
