Lil Kleine and Jaimie Vaes make a statement

The silence was broken late last night by the management of Lil Kleine and Jaimie Vaes. Earlier, they acknowledged being aware of an ‘incident’ between the two, but then it remained quiet. That incident caused Lil Kleine to spend two nights in jail. He was released yesterday, after which he was spotted on the beach. And late last night, a statement was finally released on behalf of the two.

‘We are truly shocked by all the media attention regarding our relationship. The rumors circulating about this incident are absolutely not true. We have our highs but certainly also our lows. Because we are in the spotlight, these are placed under a magnifying glass,’ the statement begins. ‘Jorik would like to sincerely apologize for all the commotion.’

The statement was released on behalf of Jorik and Jaimie. In some ways, it is quite a remarkable statement: the wildest stories indeed circulated. It is said that all the rumors are not true, but the real truth is not mentioned. Not that they owe anyone that, by the way: ultimately, it is their relationship, and just because you are both public figures does not mean you are obliged to tell everyone all the details.

What really happened in that hotel room, we do not know. And to be honest, I also hope that all the rumors are not true. Being a victim of domestic violence is something you absolutely do not wish upon anyone, and it is also very difficult to comprehend, and leaving such a situation is even harder.

Let’s not forget that Lil Kleine and Jaimie also have a one-year-old son together: Lío. Whatever the situation is between them, I hope he experiences as little of this as possible and that he is doing well, as is his mother Jaimie.
