Seaspiracy is what you want to see on Netflix

We're not starting this Monday in the absolute happiest way, because this is a Netflix tip that is not exactly uplifting. Now, Netflix documentaries are not really known for giving you an incredibly good feeling, but they are known for being very well made. I personally wasn't a big fan of the docu Cowspiracy, but I actually found this ‘spiracy’ variant very cool.
I do warn you in advance: it's grim. After watching this docu, you really can't pretend that we as humans are treating the sea – and the animals living in it – well. You might have already known that or suspected it, but that it was this serious... I had no idea.
Illegal fishing trade, dolphins being slaughtered, shark fins being cut off — you get it: this is not for the sensitive stomach — and of course the gigantic amount of plastic that is continuously carelessly dumped into the ocean.
‘We’re at war with the oceans, and if we win this war, we’re gonna lose it all — ‘cause mankind can’t survive with a dead sea’ is said in the trailer. And that is also a bit the premise of the whole documentary: we need to stop this before it's too late.
Cowspiracy brought quite a bit with it at the time; people who immediately stopped eating meat or even tried veganism. Will this docu cause us to massively stop or eat less fish? I wouldn't be surprised. A recommendation, this one.
