YES: Netflix gets a new One Day series

Netflix is stepping up and we love it. Maybe they didn't expect that either One Day became the huge success it has become, maybe they did, but the fact is that they have made half of watching Netherlands cry. What a delightful series, and how can you not fall in love with Leo Woodall? That crush actually started for me at The White Lotus, where he also met current girlfriend Meghann Fahy , in my opinion the new it-couple.

One Day turned out to be a mega hit, even more popular than the movie was back then with Anne Hathaway. You might have known the story even before that: it is based on a book by David Nicholls. He of course saw this Netflix success happening and thought: I can do something with that.

David Nicholls picked up his pen again. The result is almost ready and will be called You Are Here. Yep, you read that right: this book isn't even finished yet or Netflix is already lurking to turn it into another tear-jerking series.

You Are Here will be about Marnie and Michael, of whom the former is a bit stuck in her life. In her flat in London, she feels trapped and has the idea that the world is moving on, but she is missing it all. Michael isn't doing so well either: he has been abandoned by his wife, has retreated into his cave, and is living life as a loner.

You guessed it: the paths of the two cross and that is again the beginning of a beautiful love story where we probably won't stay dry.

Netflix has already indicated interest in another adaptation of David Nicholls, and it seems that this will be the next one. The book comes out on April 23, so hopefully Netflix will act quickly and we can expect this series in about a year. That would be nice, right?
