Even over And Just Like That season 3

I had it in my calendar for a month: May 30 — the new season of And Just Like That. Due to a somewhat messy schedule, I couldn't watch it right away, but when I flew to Gothenburg for work on June 3, that was my moment. I politely nodded to my fellow traveler, put in my earbuds, and pressed ‘download to view’. It was 09:40 on Wednesday morning. Normally a time for coffee and emails, not for explicit scenes with Aidan. But well, I took my moment — and these are my findings.

1. There is indeed a lot of sex in

Nothing wrong with sex, of course. But at 09:40 in a quiet airplane, it felt a bit awkward. Especially when Aidan — spoiler alert — got rather loud during his climax. In a truck. In his backyard. Not really sexy, to be honest. I immediately checked if my earbuds were still properly connected, because imagine if it went through the speaker. Miranda in bed with a nun (yes, you read that right; a nun), Seema in a push-up waiting for a video call with her actor-lover, and Carrie with her hand under the sheets… it took some getting used to, shall we say. Especially on the plane with people I didn't know sitting next to me and with whom I would be spending 48 hours for work. It all turned out fine, who knows, it might have deepened the bond, who can say.

2. Love, love, love the outfits

No one walks in real life to a mailbox in a sheer skirt with embroidered flowers and a matching jacket. But I'd rather have that than Carrie in a Lululemon outfit through Manhattan. And then Lisa Todd Wexley! That necklace with beads as big as tennis balls — I might take it off while cooking, but oh, it looks fantastic on her.

3. There were also some U-turns

Miranda lingers at the bar with a virgin mojito. But if you don't drink alcohol, aren't you more the type to say: “I'm going home, fresh and fruity again tomorrow?” And Carrie slipping on her kitchen floor, calling Miranda, but then only cooling her pinky with a wet cloth? Something doesn't quite add up there. But honestly? I don't care. I just enjoyed seeing everyone again.

4. How much money does Carrie actually have?

That house! That decor! The question is: how much has she inherited, how much does she actually still write, and how is this in God's name still realistic? Who still believes that she ever paid for a brownstone with one column a week? Meanwhile devouring Fendi bags and Jimmy Choos? What were we thinking? For heaven's sake. But now Carrie has inherited Big's fortune and while he also left a million to his ex Natascha. There is only one conclusion imaginable; the man was really rich.

5. The puns and one-liners

Sometimes they are really a bit too much. Like the scene where Miranda discusses the deflowering of nun Maria with Carrie — the one-liners are flying at you. A tad forced, but oh well… I love them.

I'm going to watch episode 2 now

And then rewind season 2 (I found season 1 difficult, I'd rather forget that). Just to be completely up to date with Wyatt, Aidan, and everything around it. And yes, also to enjoy those outfits, that house, and just; our girlfriends again.

Have a nice weekend!
