5 reasons why red hair is totally cool

A while back I coloured my hair and that turned out a pint of red. I had to get used to it for a while, but now I actually think it's really cool. If you consider that only two percent of the world is born with red hair, so there are not that many redheads walking around, I can now count myself among a unique group. And the fact that I have been copper whistling kettle been called or called ginger doesn't matter to me, because red hair is totally cool. And I will reaffirm that to you with these five reasons.

Sexy hair

Fair is fair, you'll love it or hate it, but red hair is generally considered huge sultry and sexy seen. OK, provided it is long of course. Red hair always shines tremendously and because it is always so full, it comes across as very rich. So it does well with men. Wear the right make-up with it though, because swearing is a no-go. Opt for a natural look where all the attention goes to your cut.

Iconic redhead

So with red hair, you can be sure that you have a unique cut on your hands. All the more reason, then, that some celebs have grabbed the limelight. Successful redheads have included Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, Julianne Moore, Kate Winslet (duh Titanic!), Nicole Kidman and Kirsten Dunst. So time to opt for a shade of red in your hair too. The trend at the moment is to keep it very light, leaning towards blonde. May come out a tad orange, but so that's hugely permissible.

Little Mermaid Ariel

One of my favourites is the film The little mermaid. I mean: the shark snare really did become a unique item. And the fact that the very handsome Ariel has red hair really makes her the most handsome mermaid ever. 

Women with red hair bring luck

At least, that's what the Poles say. According to the Poles, you are bound to win the lottery if you meet three red-haired ladies. And the Danes, on the contrary, consider it an honour if you have a child with red hair. To them, it is a rare beauty.

More hair

Ladies with red hair (originally then) have thicker and fuller hair than other ladies. Hence, such a cut always falls nicely too. That red colour only emphasises that. Nice touch, then.
