Five minute manicure

May said it last week; it's really horrible when you have an appointment and you have those chipped nails. But well, she said this too; nail polish, you really need to take some time to make them nice and good. Now I'm a disaster at that myself, because even if I take hours in the evening, the duvet is still there the next morning. That's why I have a five-minute plan with the key essentials for you that ensures this problem never occurs again. Probably handy for you too, because this way you always start the day with well done nails.

You don't want any snags on your nails, because then you'll start fiddling with them and your nail polish chips off faster. A good file is therefore key item number one. Filing them perfectly in shape you do during office hours, but fixing a snag only takes a few seconds.

You remove leftover nail polish. I always do that with the remover wipes from OPI. They take up little space in the bag and they also have a nice scent so that everything doesn't smell like remover. And they are so relaxed that you can wipe off your nail polish in one go.

Soft, smooth cuticles stand for a well-groomed look. With a cuticle oil, you can easily take care of that. It's just like a hand cream. A drop of oil, a little rub, and you're done. Just a minute every day and you will definitely not get any loose flakes or wrinkled edges.

To be honest: applying polish takes the longest. It's a precise job. Now I often skip the base coat with ‘rushed nails’, but I always do two neat layers. Better two thin layers of polish than one thick drop. Take your time and for convenience, choose a nude color, because then you won't have to fix any unwanted edges afterwards. If you want to make the application quick, you naturally choose a transparent coat.

For drying that polish, there is of course no time. Jet and I really find the drops from Pupa a miracle product. A drop on each nail and within ten seconds they are completely dry. Off you go to that appointment then. And, if you're doing it tonight: no imprint in your nails.
