FIVE THINGS WE MUST DO THIS FALL
– The beauty trends from NYFW at a glance –
Now that I finally conquered the jetlag , I thought it was about time to put everything in order. We have certainly seen quite a few shows, so let me take a look at what the new trends will be. Of course, I will neatly work it out for you in half a year to keep you completely up-to-date, but a preview can't hurt, it seems to me.
Pony club
Orlando Pita was the most requested hairstylist. He did an amazing job at the shows of Carolina Herrera and Derek Lam and created huge ponytails on all the girls. Long, narrow, and beautiful tails, then.
Nail accents
Nude and white are totally in, but not as plain as they were this spring. It can all have a little extra. So a bit of glitter, a line, or a splash of color. It doesn't mean they have to be complete artworks, just a little extra. Less is still more.
A bit wet, a bit dry
The wet look is still in, but now combined with the healthy waves. So this fall, you're not just going for the healthy or the wet, but combining the two. In the makeup look, it's the same. They took the trend from the movie Frozen very literally. The beauty is like a kind of snow queen. We saw that, for example, at Donna Karan and Alexander Wang. Lots of light and fresh colors on the eyes and especially a lot of matte.
Wetlook 2.0
To continue on that wet look; where it was a bit ‘dirty’ last year, it's now really very wet. As if the models have walked through a heavy rain shower. So really very wet.
Today is red
And tomorrow too. And the day after that as well. Red lips never go out of style. And bold, the lips can certainly be this fall.
