Have you been on vacation, then your hair is of course very dry and parched from the sun and if you have dyed it, then it could also use a boost. Let me now be able to check both, because my hair needed something after a coloring session and excessive sun to get it shiny, smooth, and healthy again. So off I went. To the test. In my hand, two products from John Master Organics that would naturally revive my hair.
What does it promise?
I find the philosophy of Mr. John Master quite interesting to explain. He worked in the 70s in top salons in Miami and New York and gained quite a bit of fame when his styling talent also grew in celebrity circles. . Through everything he got his hands on, he began to realize the serious health risks, namely inhaling and handling salon chemicals. So he wanted to create a toxin-free salon environment. So said, so done. Now, of course, that has been quite a process, but ultimately since 1991, an organic line has emerged. These contain only natural ingredients, have no synthetic additives, and are far removed from aggressive chemicals. Good for the skin, good for your hair, and good for your home. Products that work and bring out the best in your hair. It seems to be possible. At least, that is what the products from John Master promise.
How so?
I tested two products that my hair desperately needed. I went for the Evening Primrose Shampoo, which gives dry hair a hydration boost and provides the necessary strengthening. Then I finished with the Color Enhancing Conditioner for brown hair that gives colored locks extra attention and nourishes them immensely. Ingredients? Sunflower oil that protects and nourishes the hair, flaxseed oil that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and thus stimulates healthy hair growth, jojoba oil that hydrates, and caramel and iron oxide that maintain the natural hair color for brown hair.
This does it:
Josselin: “That Mr. Taco, one of the most progressive and talented hairdressers in the Netherlands, only uses this product in his salon 1027 , convinced me to place this product in my bathroom as well. Now I found that quite exciting because shampoo and conditioner are part of my sacred morning ritual and if that goes even a little wrong, my whole day is ruined. But well, I started. The shampoo is a bit different from what I'm used to (quite foamy and a lot in use), because this is more of a gel that you apply to your hair. You only need a drop of it, and it doesn't produce a lot of foam. Sounds very unpleasant and negative now, but it’s not. By diluting it with water, you can apply it very well to your hair, although you have to think about the foam. Because it’s not there. The scent of the Primrose Shampoo is truly divine. A bit spicy, but not extreme. Very fresh. After massaging it in for two minutes, you rinse it out very easily. Normally, with shampoos, they give a very soft effect as soon as you start massaging the product in, but you only experience that here when rinsing out. So don’t give up too quickly, because the result afterwards is really worth it. The conditioner is the same. It only feels really soft when you run the brush through it and your hair is dried. . In the short term, the products take a bit of getting used to, but they are incredibly nice in scent, color, and use. The long-term effects of the products are also extremely good. You notice that your hair becomes much fuller, that it shines more and feels softer, and that the color remains much more intense and healthier due to the conditioner. So it doesn’t become a dull color. All in all, good for your hair and good for your little home, because the fact that it’s all completely natural is of course the biggest plus.”
