DO THE SLEEPING BEAUTY
become beautifully asleep in 7 steps
Want to become beautifully asleep? Just take a look at Sleeping Beauty and you'll see that it's totally possible. An extra hour in bed provides the perfect curl, a well-tanned skin, and eyes that don't need to be rubbed free of tiredness. Doesn't seem like a bad resolution. So, on to those extra mandatory hours of sleep tomorrow morning.
1. Vaseline
Do you want to wake up with a pair of soft paws, then you should actually apply some Vaseline to your feet in the evening. A pair of socks over it and then a night of sleep. Of course, it's not very sexy, but hey, the next day will be all the more so.
2. Bags under your eyes
No more dealing with dark circles? Then an extra pillow is not a luxury. You'll be lying a bit more upright with your head, allowing the blood to flow nicely and not forget the bags. You really look a lot fresher in the morning.
3. No bad hair day
A night out and then enjoying a bit longer in bed shouldn't result in a bad hair day. If you take a shower just before going to sleep, you'll wake up feeling fresher and, okay, with princess hair. Braid your hair while it's still wet or twist it into a bun. Your hair dries while you sleep, creating an amazing effect the next morning.
4. Water
Water, water, water. Just set a pitcher for the next morning or the night next to your bed. You don't have to get up, but you can start drinking right away. Oh, and water also applies to creams. Hydrate your skin very well with a serum and night cream and apply generously. At night, those creams have all the time to pamper your skin and absorb well. You wake up with a soft baby-like skin – just don't forget to cleanse your skin extremely well beforehand, otherwise it won't work at all. Quite a shame.
5. Pillowcase
This also sounds very princess-like, but hey, we’re staying in the realm of Sleeping Beauty. A well-chosen pillowcase is quite important. If you have a silk pillowcase, your skin has much more room and air to breathe, and your hair becomes soft and shiny. It’s said to be the golden tip to prevent wrinkles.
6. Eyelash wonderland
You can bring out that jar of Vaseline from number 1 again. At night, your eyelashes can recover, grow, and become thicker. If you apply a layer of Vaseline to your eyelashes with a little comb or something, it will only enhance that. Clean them well in the morning, and then you have extremely healthy and longer eyelashes. And yes, a very well-rested effect.
7. Hair recovery
Not in the mood to take a shower before bed? You can also just use a hair mask, or coconut oil. It sounds quite dirty, but at night it can nourish the hair extremely well. Once you wake up, rinse everything out in the shower, and you'll have extremely soft and shiny locks afterwards.
