You know, I don't do New Year's resolutions. But this is not a ‘New Year's resolution’, this is more of a changed lifestyle. And yes, that comes down to the same thing, but still, this is different. Because your friends are of course super fun and incredibly nice, some are annoyingly irritating and not good for your well-being. So they need to go, and these are the following.
The friend who always talks about herself
Not only does every story revolve around her, but she also has the special talent to turn EVERY conversation back to her. You mention that you've booked a vacation, and she starts talking about how her neighbor also went on vacation yesterday and how she now has to water his plants and oh my, what a lot of work that is. Um, yes. Good for you.
The friend who always forgets her wallet
Look, we all have times when money is tight, and I have no problem paying the bill then. But there are those types who forget their wallet at EVERY lunch or drinks appointment *oops*. “I’ll transfer it to you right away!” they say, but that never happens. Never.
THE FRIEND WHO can dump problems well, but can't listen very well
The times you've listened to her sobbing and crying in the middle of the night are countless, but when YOU need something from her, she's busy busy busy. So, get lost.
The friend who is just a bit too loose-lipped
You tell her something in confidence and very strangely, but a week later everyone knows. “No of course I didn't tell anyone,” she will say, but that's a lie. You have people who love to gossip and that's all fine, but you should stay far away from that.
