What do you eat and drink
in warm weather?
It's scorching hot, you're panting on your bike or in the car or behind your desk and the blankets have been swapped for a sheet. At least, that's how it is for me. What you wear is clear, as light as possible and as little as possible. But what do you eat on such warm days? What is refreshing and not too heavy, because we're in the mood for light.
Salad with watermelon and feta
Just look here for the recipe I once gave you. Watermelon consists of an incredible amount of water and that's what you crave right now. Serve this salad cold from the fridge.
Make your own ice tea
Here at the editorial office, we drink liters of tea and now it's one of the most thirst-quenching drinks; we feel like something cold. And why not cold tea? This is a recipe with which you can make your own ice tea.
Ice cream
Something with blueberries and melon and also innocent. Just look here.
Cold soup
For example Gazpacho or cucumber soup.
I once wrote a post about fun, tasty, and easy-to-make cold soups. With a recipe of course.
Salt
On really hot days, it's also nice to eat a bit more salt, so just add an extra twist to the dressing of your salad. Salt retains moisture. You sweat a lot when it's warm and that can make you feel weak and dizzy. Or have some salted nuts.
