Hey there, yesterday was the First Monday in May, and you know what that means: all the celebrity show ponies headed to The Big Apple to dress up in over the top outfits (Rihanna, I’m looking at you) or just as little as possible (hi, Kendall, everything good?). It was time for the annual party of Anna Wintour at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, to celebrate the opening of the fashion exhibition. This year, fashion designer Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons is being honored in the museum. The dress code everyone had to adhere to this year? Avant-garde. Appropriate, considering the unconventional structural designs of Rei Kawakubo.
And as we are used to every year, there were again a lot of ’amazeballs’ and a lot of ’what the hell were you thinking?’ looks. A Bella Hadid who leaves virtually nothing to the imagination and who I think was literally sewn into her outfit, a Kim Kardashian who for the first time in years went for a rather timid look, and Madonna, always that Madonna with something horrific on.
