DRY JANUARY-STATUS
Ben & Jerry’s Booze
Are you sitting here behaving yourself, drinking tea and juice every day (because the lady had to participate in a dry January), and then Ben & Jerry’s comes out with the following message. A new flavor. With alcohol. Oh my god. At least, it’s not all official yet and stuff, but what is already known is that they have trademarked their name (Urban Bourbon, I think it’s brilliant again). Even the American Walmart has already created a page for it on their site.
Urban Bourbon then. Caramel ice cream with almonds, fudge flakes and bourbon. Ha, whiskey that doesn’t give you a hangover, I already think it’s great. And secretly, I hope it only hits the stores in February, because otherwise it will be a big fat fail to stay dry this month.
But um, now that we’re talking about ice cream dear Ben and Jerry, I did a round in the editorial office, are you paying attention? These are the flavors we still miss.
Invoices can be sent to Pilotenstraat, okay, Team B&J? Here they come:
Buenos Las Niños
Kinder Bueno ice cream. You missed that one too, right?
Jamaican Me Crazy
Because in the summer we really want a margarita sorbet and to lie on the beach in Jamaica in our bikinis. A splash of tequila, some lime juice… You know the drill.
Houd Je (Stroop)Waffel
No one abroad will understand the name, but those stroopwafels of ours really deserve some Ben & Jerry’s recognition.
Blueberry Pancake Porno
Foodporn in a jar. Clear, right?
A Sweet Dill
Okay, a dill might be a pickle, but just replace it with a cucumber (they look alike) and I say: fitgirl-proof ice cream. Winning!
Mereng-eeeey Macarena (thanks for the name, Lil)
You didn’t know you missed it and now you can’t live without: strawberry-cream-meringue ice cream.
Boom Boom Spoom
For the fancy cats among us: scroppino ice cream.
Gin For The Win
Because we’re still not done drinking gin and tonics. And our favorite drink deserves an ice cream flavor too.
Ka-ching!
