Why Chrissy Teigen and John Legend should become the next First Family
Five years ago, I never thought I could seriously write down this title, but since Trump became president, I know for sure: anything is possible. Yet one positive point he has brought during his presidency. Many celebrities thought so too; I believe several petitions have been started to get Oprah in power, but I have the absolute best option. Make America Great Again with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.
The editorial team of Vanity Fair had the same idea (okay, I admit it: I stole their idea) and presented this to the cutest couple on Instagram, Twitter, and basically just the entire internet as well. Not a crazy proposal, because it’s no secret that the connection with Trump is absolutely NOT there, while it is with the Obamas. Having the Obamas in your friend group is definitely reasonable #lifegoals. John Legend revealed that he often jokes with Barack Obama that their wives are now more famous, popular, and loved than they are. Joking around with Barack. No biggie.
Chrissy’s first reaction to the possibility of her as FLOTUS: ‘Uh, I did Sports Illustrated and covered my boobs with a leaf.’ That a former model can definitely be a First Lady, John immediately points out, since Melania also started as a model. I already know who will win that battle: #teamChrissy. Their favorite for this election is actually Elizabeth Warren. This couple is not going to save this election, but come on, don’t we all want this?
Nice that Trump will probably not catch wind of their Twitter campaign, should they also go for that presidential position. Chrissy has actually been blocked by the frustrated man. And it’s also nice that John Legend can sing at his own inauguration. And just think of the photos of Luna and Miles in The White House. And especially: they are genuine people, smart people, accommodating, and have their hearts in the right place. Actually – let’s be honest – all the qualities that this president does not possess. Where can I already buy this merchandise from this upcoming POTUS and FLOTUS? Count me in.
