The Kissing Booth 3 is coming and is already finished

I was completely ready for it, last Friday. Laptop on my lap (because work had to be done, of course) and immediately turned on Netflix: The Kissing Booth 2. I really showed that I can multitask, because my work was done by the end of the day AND I had The Kissing Booth 2 with me. I can recommend it, it's so nice in the morning, and I was really looking forward to it. Part one was so fun that I don't even call it a guilty pleasure anymore. I'm not really ashamed that I was such a fan of it.

And part two, was it good or bad? Let me tell you. I found out that I don't think Noah (the hottie from the movie) is such a hottie after all. His brother, Lee, on the other hand, I really like. The plot of the movie is a bit clumsier, because Elle risked her friendship with Lee because Noah was so irresistible. I think it's exactly the opposite. But hey, everyone has their taste, of course.

Of course — otherwise the movie would be so boring — a third guy comes in who also throws a spanner in the works. I seriously had to google what his name was again: Marco. The fact that I didn't remember his name says enough. What a boring guy, nothing sexual about him and the tension with Elle was also hard to find, although I think it was meant for him to represent some divine Latino. A bit miscast in my opinion, because I don't think anyone gets excited about him.

But then the ending: of course, all's well that ends well. And no, don't get mad that this is spoilers, because with a movie like this, it just can't be anything other than a happy ending. But that Marco, he doesn't give up. He states this with the short sentence that Elle is worth the wait. And... The End. Um, okay? I did expect that a third part would come, but this is very sudden. Oh yes, Elle also manages to get accepted to UC Berkeley AND Harvard. You know, the latter is that one school where only about two percent get accepted. She just does it. It wasn't even really her plan.

So yes, that third part: IT'S COMING. In fact, IT'S ALREADY DONE. And my first reaction was of course happiness, but I also assumed we would have it online next month as an extra gift. But no. So Netflix announces that a third part is coming (yes) and that it is already fully finished (YES)... But that it won't be online for another year (what?). I find it a strange turn of events, Netflix. Let's debate about that release date for a moment.
