Not everyone believes in New Year's resolutions, but the art is simply not to set the bar too high and not to be too hard on yourself. Well, I'm going to try that, because I've set a few goals for myself. And I actually find those goals quite fun. So if all goes well, it should work out, it just takes a lot of time and discipline. I want to once again run a half marathon (and set a fast time) and to make it a bit more fun for you to read, I thought it would also be a good idea to start now with the bikini-proof becoming. Of course, I have to do all the training myself in the end and the carb stacking too, but I have enlisted a few helpers namely: the boys from Personal Body Plan and the man I can't do without anymore: Robby Nelson. Let me introduce them to you:

He looks incredibly friendly, but believe me, Robby gives you one tap and you're down. That has to be the case, because he secures Doutzen when she is in the country and he also walks alongside Elke week word ik ingedeeld om twee when he has business to do here. In addition, he is European and world champion kickboxing, Dutch champion Freefight, and has been in the ring for 24 years. Just to name a few things. In other words: keep this lovely man on your side and do exactly what he says. And that's what I'm doing obediently. And if all goes well, I'll skip carefree across the beach this summer and set a very fast time in a half marathon. Robby lets me hit a punching bag and does a lot of circuit training and interval training. In his gym, there are large car tires that you have to flip, tree trunks that you hold during squats, or you get weights on your legs during knee raises. In addition, there are enough mats on which you have to do so many abdominal exercises that you can't laugh for three days.

Then I'm also going to try my hand at Personal Body Plan. Tom, founder of this method and the app, will guide me in this. It's an app that is your personal trainer, nutritionist, and lifestyle coach. It really comes down to self-discipline, but you get to read in a schedule how long and what you need to train and you are advised on what you can eat (you also get recipes!) to achieve a certain goal. You are also fed daily with motivating fun facts on your iPhone screen and if you have a little dip or just a question, you can chat with your coach. I already consider myself very healthy, but I think Tom can teach me even more. If you really train a lot, food is a very important factor. You can run an incredible number of laps and lift weights, but it is also important to adjust your nutrition to that.

Okay, I'm going to start next week. I'll keep you updated weekly on how I'm doing and what I'm doing. I'll also show exercises that you can easily do at home and I'll give handy tips. Don't be surprised if there’s sometimes a glass of wine and a cheese platter in between, because I also enjoy that and it should all remain very pleasant and not a punishment.

Here and there I will also give away some fun workouts, so keep reading, because who knows, we might all hang out in the rings together. Together we are stronger after all.

I'm still not sure which half marathon I'm going to run.

I do know that the entire Amayzine editorial team will cheer me on with a glass of wine on the side. And they talk about that moment almost daily, so I need to hurry.
