With these 3 tips, your makeup won't go anywhere anymore
– AND ARE YOU THE QUEEN OF THE NIGHT –
For a party, I can really spend quite a long time in front of the mirror applying a layer of paint and dabs of mascara on myself. I like to take advantage of an invitation to completely get myself ready. But how it happens, I don't know, but makeup just disappears. Whether it runs, which doesn't seem to be the intention either. No. We want shine, we want glitter, and we especially want to enjoy all of that for as long as possible. How? I'm going to tell you. Enjoy the night, which could very well last a long time.
Step 1. The base
A good start is half the work. So don't skimp on the essentials. First, cleanse your skin well, because that's a clean and good start that will make your skin glow on its own. Then you work in layers. Hydrate the skin well, because makeup stays on much longer on well-hydrated skin, and you'll benefit from that tonight. Don't forget that alcohol pulls all the moisture out of your skin, so you can definitely apply a bit of extra cream. Then get to work with a primer. You conceal spots, pimples, and wrinkles, and you immediately create an even skin tone. Then the foundation. Grab the concealer (here are some tips to get that right) and if it's still not enough, you start over with the foundation. You put concealer in your clutch for the evening, because it will work wonders on smudged lipstick after kissing everyone at midnight, and the rest just stays on your bathroom shelf. The base is set.
Step 2. Applying makeup
Now you can do your thing. Smokey, natural; everyone has their own style. It doesn't matter what you choose, but I recommend going for a few false eyelashes instead. That way, you won't have to deal with running mascara, and you just know that your lashes reach the ceiling. Now you're probably wondering if those lashes will end up on your cheeks when the glue loosens, but you don't have to worry about that. A little extra drop is enough. Those things will really stay put if you apply them carefully. The second tip is a highlighter. Put some accents on your nose, the two cheekbones on your forehead, and above your lip. It looks chic and makes your face speak even more. That can also go in the clutch, because it might just make a difference tonight. A setting spray keeps everything in place, so the foundation and blush can't go anywhere.
Step 3. Finishing touch
The following items can all go directly into your clutch. Your makeup will definitely stay put, but there are a few things you need to touch up from time to time. If your makeup does start to run a bit, then use this and there will be no problem at all. A lip balm provides the most beautiful shine. Furthermore, a perfume spray is also quite handy. I've given tips before on how scents stay the best, but if you're not feeling fresh anymore, then a spritz of this and you're good to go again. So, that Touche Éclat and highlighter in your bag and you have nothing to worry about. Although an aspirin might also be a golden tip. To survive the evening or the day after a bit easier.
